Please read every night and mark it in the reading log. If you miss a night, read 2 books the next night and write them down 1 per line.

Thank you for all you do to help them learn!

This Week:

We had a lot of fun learning about fairy tales and making a map. We read different versions of different fairy tales and discussed the beginning, middle, and the end of each book. Next week they will use that to help them retell the fairy tales we read.

In math, we focused on subtraction. The math symbols are still a little tricky for some. They are doing a great job adding!

In writing, we wrote our own fairy tale. The students were the characters, but they got to pick the setting.

We began making maps of one of the fairy tales we read. We learned about map keys and the compass rose.

Next week:
Sight words for next week:  by had one or word
They are getting more difficult, please practice writing and saying them!

We will continue to make our maps and retell fairy tales. We will be learning about 2-D and 3-D shapes in math. They will get to create a castle out of the shapes.
