Chase shared his timeline with us this week!

April 14th- Talent show (doors open at 5:30)

April 21st- 1st grade music program at 6:30

April 22nd- Early out

May 3rd- Trip to a Farm- more details to come soon

May 26th- Last day of school- early out!


This week :

We learned about patterns with shapes, colors, and numbers. We also used skip counting to find patterns in equations. We read stories about weather and made inferences and learned about weather! In writing, they wrote a factual story about rocks.

They finished their rock museum and made an invitation to invite you to their music program.





Next week:

Sight words: stop only take open sound

We will be reviewing good and services. We will practicing missing addend with tens, using a number line to add and subtract, and continuing with patterns. We will play the game of Life to learn about earning money and spending it on goods and services. In writing, we will write about a service we would have.

This week:

We read stories about rocks and reviewed authors purpose and the discussed the plots of stories. In math, we made different types of patterns with shapes, movement, and cubes. We made a detailed illustrations to go with our writing pieces.

We found properties of rocks and started to make a paper rock and write facts about it!


Next week:

Sight words:  back first  live name water
We will continue to learn about rocks and at the end of the week we will learn how to write invitations. We will write facts about rocks and read stories about weather.  In math, we will continue to learn about patterns with numbers.

This week:

We read read fiction books about Easter and nonfiction books about eggs. They found details in each one of the books. In math, we learned about words in story problems to help us decide if we should add or subtract. We wrote a story with a beginning, middle and end and filled it with details.

In music, they used eggs to find out what made the sound?









They also did science experiments with peeps. We saw what happens when you put them in water, int the microwave and in the freezer. They had to work together to save the peep from going into the water.



Next week:

We will be reviewing all sight words.

We will be learning about rocks. We will read stories and review authors purpose. We will write about rocks and classify them. In math, we will focus on patterns and skip counting.

This week:

We had a great 2 days reading leprechaun stories and  discussing author's purpose. We practiced time and story problems in math. They also designed a leprechaun trap.





Next week:

Sight words: where after play am ride

We will be using Easter activities to practice syllables, finding details in stories and doing science experiments with peeps. In math, we will continue to decide if we should add or subtract when reading story problem.
